Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework, a national project, aims to construct the industrial base of Hamadori (Coastal) area, etc. that was lost due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear power plant accident of 2011. In this, support is provided for various challenges related to reactor decommissioning, robotics, energy, agriculture, forestry, fisheries and so on.

The Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum

The Museum is intended to gather, store and research the records and lessons learned from the massive complex disaster and subsequent recovery process, and to pass on, convey and share these things with future generations and the world. Focusing especially on the nuclear power disaster experienced by Fukushima, it holds the basic principles of “passing onto the future and sharing with the world”, “preventing disasters and reducing disasters”, and “contributing to the acceleration of reconstruction”.

This telework center, which is based in the former Ishimori Elementary School, is a center for creating new businesses, employment and jobs, transforming work styles, and conducting learning, exchange and information transmission in Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture.

Obori Somayaki, Suetoku Gama
Obori Somayaki, Suetoku Gama

The Suetoku pottery makes Obori Somayaki ware, a traditional craft of Japan, and has continued for more than 300 years in the town of Namie.
The pottery representative, SUE Masanori, has established a workshop and store in Koriyama City.

Futaba Information Center
Futaba Information Center

General information center in Futaba County. Operated by the private organization Futaba Future Meeting, this was established to share and widely convey current conditions in the eight municipalities of Futaba. Based on Futaba Future Meeting’s activities and connections, it is not merely an archive facility but delivers the reality of Futaba County more directly by enabling the local residents to express and convey conditions from their own perspective.

RTF reproduces actual environments of use for infrastructure and disaster settings, etc. and has facilities for assessing the performance of robots and conducting operation training, etc.
